James forges narratives of change through his sculpture, combining discarded metal with natural forms. The textures and movement created from his brutal process seek to awaken a deeper sense of presence.

James Wild began sculpting in 2009 while working as a blacksmith's apprentice in St Austell, Cornwall. Since then, he has developed an award-winning, distinctive sculpting style that is evident throughout his portfolio of private and public works, both in the UK and abroad.

James primarily works with scrap metal, making resourcefulness central to his creations. The diversity and adaptability of this medium inspire his expressive sculptures, which strive to balance the harshness of the material with the purity of nature. His work explores striking contrasts between the contemporary and the eternal.
