Wolf Pack
Highlands, Scotland
(Scrap Metal 2017)
In the dramatic Scottish Highlands, a trio of wolves sculpted by James Wild over five years evokes a more ancient Scotland. Crafted from scrap metal with a distinctive distressed rusted finish, these sculptures—an alpha howling, one prowling, and a young cub—represent a time when Scotland's biodiversity was richer and predators beyond humans roamed freely. The pack, positioned near a lodge, embodies James' hope for accelerated biodiversity regeneration, envisioning a future where wolves and lynx might once again inhabit these lands.
