Eternal Dawn

Norfolk, UK

James salvaged cultivator discs from Stody Estate farmyard, carefully sandblasting away the rust, before cutting them into organic shapes and welding them back together again in the form you see before you today.
These cultivator discs, once used in the fields around Stody Lodge to prepare soil for planting, have been transformed into the flowing 'Eternal Dawn'. The circle symbolises existence and time, while the textures and structure draw inspiration from movement in nature. The negative space within the circle draws you in and invites you to look beyond.
Finished with rust and resin to enhance definition and movement. The finish also reflects the blue of Stody Lodge's iconic pantile roof.
