I highly value the craft of making sculpture; the human struggle is central to the connection for me, and technology can diminish that. Yet artists have always used the technologies of their age to express themselves, and I am open-minded and curious about what it means for me. So I have worked scanning, 3D printing, augmented reality, milling and have found genuine excitement in discovering the opportunities they open up to work into a sculpture in different ways and bringing something otherwise unattainable to the art. AI is useful for admin tasks like research and spell-checks, but creation itself remains a human struggle.
